Started by me, (Donna) circa 13 years ago, Bamboo Boutique is the third beauty business that I have opened. I have been in the industry for, crikey, 22 years!! I was very much a keen wee beaver and opened my first business just after I was 21. Back in the stone age of my training, I gained so much experience working in various spas and salons and after being in management, I knew that I wanted to break free and offer my clients a holistic experience. One where you feel listened to, comfortable, and trust in your therapist that they have your best interests at heart with honesty and respect. I always joke with my clients that we are like a community care centre in that anyone is welcome and everyone is treated like family.
Talking about family, let me introduce you to Joanna. She started her journey in 2020 and she is no doubt the happiest person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, she is like the Buddha of the beauty industry, pure sunshine and positivity. Because of this, I knew she would have the making of an “elite beauty therapist” and I agreed to train her in all things beauty, and then she went on to become accredited with a humongous growing clientele who all want to be her number one fan. So we now run Bamboo Boutique, just the two of us, like Cagney & Lacey, Thelma & Louise, Rick & Morty….you get the drift.
Bamboo Boutique has evolved over these long 13 years to focus more on skin and laser treatments. Joanna and I are skin-obsessed, following the latest trends and treatments but at the same time, being selective about what we take on. We source our products and machines from the best in the industry. We are not a fan of gimics and we want award winning, results-driven treatments and products that we know our clients will love. At the moment we have laser hair removal that treats any skin type. Females and males can have any area treated with cool tip technology, ensuring that it is the most comfortable laser experience available in Edinburgh.
